Open a text data file

Under File, click Open a text data file.

• Saves the log file to a comma separated text file (*.csv) file so that it can be opened automatically using Excel, 
• Starts the open file dialog so that you can select a comma separated text file (*.csv).

Note:

• Although Excel files are preferred, sometimes csv files are necessary. This is true when the data has more than 255 columns, which are beyond the capacity of Excel or MS Access.
