Genotype-by-trait table in an environment

• Under the main menu 4-WAY, click Geno by trait table in any environment. An environment selection device will appear on the top of the biplot, which allows selecting one of the environments in the 4-way dataset. The environments are year-location combinations if different years are involved..

• Select an environment and click GT Biplot. A biplot will appear, which is based on the genotype by trait two-way data in the selected environment.

reveals that plant height may be responsible for the observed genotype by environment interaction for oat yield, because it had contrasting effects on yield in the two environments. 

Covariate-effect biplot analysis is a more systematic approach for identifying explanatory traits that can explain the observed genotype-by-environment interactions regarding a trait of interest.
